Faithful to its decision to reinstate the special role of metal in design and experimentation, De Castelli infuses artisan ideas and workmanship into industrial processes, leading to entirely original results. The encounter with design inspires an approach to materials founded upon respect for their potential, be it hidden or obvious, which emerges slowly in a collection of pieces that, despite being part of a series, remain unique.

Unique not only for the hand that has created them, but also for the singular cultural path that focuses on the aesthetic (and not just practical) value of the primordial material with which De Castelli shapes living spaces.

Our love of Potocco can be attributed to their quintessential values and traits of fine Italian design, creating both indoor and outdoor furniture all of which display exceptional elegance and style.

Founded in 1919 by Domenico Potocco in Manzano (UD), as a small artisan workshop for the production of chairs, Potocco has evolved over the years into a large manufacturer specialised in the production of contemporary furnishings for both indoor and outdoor environments.

For us no project is complete without art. Art is what elevates a space and gives character. This belief is what eventually led us to establishing a partnership with the Cortesi Gallery.

Founded in 2013, the family owned gallery specialises in European artistic movements from the 1950s, predominantly collecting the works of the artist group ZERO. The group was Founded by Heinz Mack and Otto Piene and eventually grew to include many prominent artists of the era such as Günther Uecker, Yves Klein, Piero Manzoni, Lucio Fontana, Jean Tinguely, Joseph Beuys and Piero Dorazio.

The Cortesi Gallery archive has been displayed in major international art fairs, such as TEFAF (New York and Maastricht), The Armory Show (New York), Arte Fiera (Bologna), MIART (Milano), BRAFA (Brussels) and many others.

Petra Madalena is that rare discovery that puzzles you on how you have never heard of them before.

Inspired by a deep appreciation of the history of design and incorporating a twist of modernity suitable for the present, creating sculptural pieces that blur the lines between art and furniture. Each piece is carefully thought out with a purity of form, function and material creating designs that are truly timeless.

In a world of fast-moving mass production, the guiding ethos of Petra Madalena is to create high-quality furniture design with appeal and alluring longevity.

At Copertina we are constantly on the lookout for new and brilliant talent who seek to push the boundaries of furniture design. This search has eventually led us to the collaborative duo of the Lithuanian designers and artists Marija Puipaitė and Vytautas Gečas.

They work by exploring the relations between contemporary and traditional materials, contrasting cold and hard, brass, metallic, or carbon structures with wood or cushioned, “comfortable” forms. In many cases, the constructive framework of the designed objects remains exposed to the viewer. This creates a rhythmic unfolding of the works’ inner structure that in turn, enveloped in the accompanying material, causes a fluidity in the shapes and an ergonomic feel.

The unique and eye-catching designs are what initially led us to notice this studio and we are happy to say that this initial infatuation has now blossomed into both a beautiful partnership and friendship with the passionate team behind it.

The studio headed by the designer and artist Paolo Giordano predominantly focuses on rugs and decorative items, experimenting with shape, function and material to create bold and playful designs. Many of their pieces heavily encourage interaction granting the ability to further explore and personalise the design.

If looking for a unique piece to complete your space this studio comes with our sincere recommendations.
